The Founder is an intense story about a hungry 52-year-old man. Hungry for success that is. The story walks you through the origins of McDonald’s and how they grew to feed 1 percent of the world’s population. This is not a success story for burgers, to find out what it’s about you just have to watch the movie!
It’s truly a great story of how this milkshake salesman, Ray Kroc, stole the genius idea of McDonald’s and turned it into the iconic and gigantic success you see today. The determination of Kroc is something to be admired while his ethics need some serious re-wiring.
Throwing it’s audience straight into 1954, you can expect some beautiful cinematic moments filled with nostalgia. Kroc suffers while selling his latest gimmick, a commercial milkshake machine. Little did he know that this stupid milkshake machine is what lead him to McDonald’s.
At the end of the day, we all know what happens because there’s probably a McDonald’s down the road from you, but how Kroc gets there is a great story. You can’t help but feel for the poor sad original McDonald brothers who watched their dream crash and burn before their own eyes. Really, they missed the opportunity to do something great and all it took was someone with the drive and motivation to turn it around.
