The Heart Foundation Needs Your Help

With the different Alert Levels across the country right now, the Big Heart Appeal Street Collection for this year has been cancelled.

With safety top of mind, the team of 3,000 volunteers who had planned to give their time out in the community this Friday and Saturday are left disappointed.

“Thank you to all of them, and to the amazing team that has spent a lot of time organising the volunteers. It leaves us with a large shortfall of vital funds for heart research,” explained Gerry Devlin, Medical Director of Heart Foundation.

Every 90 minutes, one New Zealander dies of heart disease and the Heart Foundation’s vital work funds research to save lives and improve the quality of life for the 170,000 New Zealanders living with heart disease.

“We have a long and proud record of research investment, which has improved the heart health of all New Zealanders for more than 50 years, but we still have much more work to do.”

Due to its cancellation, the team at Heart Foundation urgently need your help to make up for this big funding shortfall.

Please give whatever you can to the Big Hear Appeal this year, every dollar you can give will help save lives.
