Are you creative at heart? Love a good exhibition? Then this is the space to be this December.
THIS(space) acts as a retail shop, exhibition space and working studio for one week in central Te-Whanganui-a-Tara. From the 8th – 13th December, THIS(space) will showcase 14 Aotearoa-based creatives and their latest work.
The event is run as a collective, with any funds raised going directly to the creative who made the item, to then buy more materials, pay their studio rent, and continue their mahi. During the event, it’s an amazing opportunity for members of the public to engage and interact with the creatives and learn more about the person behind each work.
THIS(space) presents multiple intersections through a collision of disciplines including contemporary fashion, photography, art, books and zines, jewellery and tattoo.
The works on display include new works by JPalm, Vague Jewellery, Georgette Brown, Black Wax Press, Geo Knits Slow, Motel Bible, Nicole Van Vuuren, Georgia Rose Anderson, Laura Duffy, Ella Harrington Knpation, Jing He 00/01, Megan Stewart, Archie Fitzgerald, and Florence Isaacs.
