Starring Renee Zellweger, the life of renowned super-star Judy Garland, post Wizard of Oz, is beautifully brought to life on the big screen. The biographical-drama follows Judy’s arrival to London in 1969 where she performs sold-out shows at the Talk of the Town nightclub and reminisces with fans and friends. While performing at the nightclub, Judy tries to balance being a mother and a performer and later begins a romance with musician Mickey Deans, her soon-to-be fifth husband.

 

Good Boys

A comedy must-see, the film follows three sixth-grade boys who are just trying to make it to the coolest party on the block. The tweens spend the day carrying stolen drugs, running from teenage girls and learning how to kiss in order to impress their peers from school. Good Boys has the consistency of belly-ache laughs, winning performances and relatable content that we all love to watch at the movies.

 

Charlie’s Angels

Boasting ultimate girl power, Charlie’s Angels is back, this time featuring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Jane Kano as the kick-ass Angels. The storyline follows three courageous women who continuously put their lives on the line in order to save society. The 2019 film is the third instalment in the Charlies Angels film series, however, promises the same action-packed content that has gained the series its popularity since 2000.

 

Frozen 2

Nothing beats princesses, sing-alongs and a talking snowman. After the global success of the first film, it was only appropriate for Disney to release a second Frozen, and guess what .. they have! This time around, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven travel outside of their homeland of Arendelle in order to discover the origin of Elsa’s powers and save their kingdom. Not to worry, the film will still have plenty of songs for everyone to join in on.

 

Mulan

Following the 1998 animated film, Mulan has returned with a live-action adaption of the Disney classic. In order to save her father from serving in the Imperial Army, courageous young Mulan disguises herself as a man and embarks on a whirlwind adventure battling the northern invaders of China. Using determination, strength and bravery, Mulan risks it all in order to bring honour to her family.
