What’s New on Prime Video

Prime Video has released its lineup of what viewers can expect to see on the streaming platform in April.

Citadel

Available from Friday 28th April.

Set eight years ago, an independent global spy agency, tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people, was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts.

Dead Ringers

A modern take on David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller starring Jeremy Irons, Dead Ringers will feature Rachel Weisz playing the double-lead roles of Elliot and Beverly Mantle, twins who share everything: drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes, including pushing the boundaries on medical ethics, in an effort to challenge antiquated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront.

Lizzy Hoo: Hoo Cares!?

Lizzy Hoo: Hoo Cares!? is a show about life, family and following your dreams before it’s too late, but only if they’re worth it. Having started comedy in her early 30s, she has plenty of material to draw upon, giving us side-splitting stories and leaving audiences in the palm of her hand. Lizzy looks back on father-daughter trips to Malaysia, skydiving to her mum’s 60th, one of her brother’s backyard trout-farming dreams, and her other brother’s quest to become a famous YouTube travel vlogger.

Alex Borstein: Corsets and Clown Suits

Available from Tuesday 18th April.

A night of comedy, music, and waxing rhapsodic. A unique comedic special that will lead audiences into Alex Borstein’s mind through a marriage of humour and music, Corsets & Clown Suits is equal parts provocative and whimsical. Borstein’s self-penned performance showcases her captivating form of storytelling with the help of her muse and maestro, Barcelona-native musicians, Eric Mills and Salva Rey.

Gangs of Lagos

Available from Friday 7th April.

A high-stakes, gritty, and hard-hitting action crime-thriller, with an authentic storyline centred on a group of childhood friends who each have to navigate destiny, growing up on the bustling streets and neighbourhood of Isale Eko, Lagos.
