ZARA LAUNCHES VIRTUAL IN-STORE MODELS

Zara has stepped into the future with the announcement that it will be launching an augmented reality experience in selected stores. 120 flagship stores across the globe will be undertaking the two-week initiative that will allow customers to see models wearing clothes that are for sale by the retail giant. Using the Zara app, customers will have the opportunity to view models in various outfits that they can then click on and buy. The chosen stores will be home to sensors that will allow shoppers to view outfits when holding their mobile up to it. Virtual models will also appear when held up to shop windows and when phones are hoovered over packaging.
