Sassy Salt Lady owner/operator Michelle is a self-confessed foodie with a passion for interesting flavours and working with local growers who believe in their products. Michelle moved to New Zealand in 2014 after twenty years in France, where she learnt about different salts and nurtured her recipes.

Her local business launched after high demand for her unique flavours – especially her Smoked Garlic. “They asked if I would make the blend for them and then gave it to others as gifts,” said Michelle. “My first public venture was Christmas Festival Markets in villages around where I lived. By word of mouth it went from there. I brought Saveur de Sel to Christchurch to share my love of good quality food.”
