The hardest part of having approximately 47 things sitting on your watchlist is deciding what actually deserves your evening. Luckily, Sky has a particularly good mix arriving this week, from Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried getting tangled up in a seriously questionable household to sweeping Outlander romance, true crime and enough paranormal activity to get us properly into spooky season.
We’ve done the scrolling for you. Here are seven things worth watching on Sky this week.
1. The Housemaid

Sky Movies Premiere | Sunday 27 September, 8.30pm
If your ideal Sunday night involves wealthy people, beautiful houses and the creeping suspicion that absolutely everyone is hiding something, start here.
The Housemaid follows Millie, who takes a job working as a maid for a wealthy couple while hoping to leave her own past behind. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take long for her to discover that her new employers have secrets considerably more dangerous than hers.
With Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney leading the cast, this is firmly one for the thriller crowd.
2. Outlander: Blood of My Blood – Season 2

Sky Drama | Tuesdays from 29 September, 8.30pm
Romance? Yes. Scottish Highlands? Yes. War, destiny, heartbreak and people being kept apart by circumstances wildly more dramatic than a badly timed text message? Also yes.
Season two of Outlander: Blood of My Blood continues the stories of Jamie Fraser and Claire Beauchamp’s parents, with both relationships facing conflict, danger and the rather inconvenient interference of history itself.
If you’re already invested in the Outlander universe, clear Tuesday night.
3. Toxic – Season 2

For those of us who somehow find watching other people’s disastrous relationships relaxing, Toxic is back.
After publicly navigating the breakdown of her own marriage, Elizabeth Chambers meets with victims to investigate relationships filled with lies, red flags and toxic dynamics, looking at how love can turn dangerous and ultimately lead to tragedy.
Basically: red flags, but with the benefit of hindsight.
4. I’m Still Here

For something considerably more serious, make time for I’m Still Here.
Set against Brazil’s military dictatorship, the film follows a woman forced to reinvent herself and find a new path for her family after a violent and arbitrary act changes their lives.
Starring Fernanda Torres and Fernanda Montenegro, the Brazilian drama won the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
5. Jack Osbourne’s Night of Terror

TLC | Fridays from 2 October, 10.25pm
October has arrived, which means we can officially start watching people voluntarily enter terrifying buildings in the dark.
Paranormal investigator Jack Osbourne heads to some of America’s creepiest destinations, bringing famous family members and celebrity friends along for the experience. Why anyone agrees to go with him is another question entirely.
6. Babylon Berlin – Season 2

Sky Drama | Thursdays from 1 October, 10.15pm
If your television tastes lean towards stylish, dark and European, Babylon Berlin is an easy addition to the list.
Back in 1920s Berlin, detectives Gereon Rath and Charlotte Ritter find themselves digging deeper into a world of crime, political turmoil, corruption, espionage and dangerous secrets. It’s decadent, complicated and set against a city teetering on the edge.
7. Ghostober
TLC | Daily from Thursday 1 October, 10.25pm
And finally, why choose one paranormal show when you can dedicate an entire month to questionable noises coming from dark hallways?
TLC’s Ghostober is back with a line-up featuring the return of Ghost Adventures, Jack Osbourne’s new investigation series and a spooky exploration fronted by Kesha. It’s bigger, weirder and considerably more supernatural than your standard weeknight television.
Lights off. Volume up. Regret it when you have to walk through the house alone later.
There’s plenty more arriving across Sky, including the final season of Grantchester, Pagan Peak, Civilisations: Rise & Fall and a month-long collection of documentaries on Rialto, but these are the ones we’re putting at the top of the watchlist.
