Mac’s is bringing back mead, the oldest known alcoholic drink. Mead is made by fermenting honey with water, and Mac’s honey mead, Love Buzz, is made with Kamahi, Clover and Manuka honey. Love Buzz is 5.5% ABV, and gluten free. Kamahi honey has an intense, floral-like aroma and flavour, which combines deliciously with sweet Clover honey. Mead varies in sweetness, and Love Buzz has a sweet taste initially, with leads to a classic dry finish.
