AUCKLAND SET TO GET A TASTE OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA

South Australia’s artisan producers, local gin, wine and craft brewers will be on show at a new Pop-Up at Mr Tom’s on Auckland’s Ponsonby Road from 7 – 9 September.

The ‘South Australian Pop Up Cellar Door’ will take Kiwis on a sensory trip around the state with gin distilled on Kangaroo Island, craft beer from McLaren Vale and wine produced in the Barossa Valley, along with a taste of the fantastic local produce on offer.

Open to the public from 3pm, Friday 7 September, the pop-up will offer a taste of the food and wine State in a truly South Australian Cellar Door setting until Sunday 9 September.

Those who head along on Friday afternoon from 3.30pm will be welcomed with an Epicurean feast of South Australian produce. With artisan cheeses from the Adelaide Hills, Maggie Beer pastes from the Barossa and dried fruits and nuts from the Fleurieu Peninsula. Complimentary cheeseboards will also be given away to anyone that buys a bottle of Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Shiraz over the course of the weekend (while stocks last).

The South Australian Cellar Door coincides with MasterChef Australia’s ‘South Australia Week’, which airs on TVNZ One from 15 August.

Along with specials from Kangaroo Island’s Wild Gin and McLaren Vale’s Vale Ale, wines from the Barossa Valley’s Jacob’s Creek Cellar Door will be on offer throughout the weekend for purchase.
