Batwoman is scheduled to arrive in the Arrowverse in this year’s crossover event.
The Arrowverse consists of the CW’s shows based on DC comics: Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Vixen, and Legends of Tomorrow. The crossover event that Batwoman – otherwise known as Kate Kane – will appear in will be between Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl.
Kate Kane comes to the universe without any previous appearance of Batman, making her the first of the extended Bat-family to appear in the CW’s TV series. The modern Kate Kane is a military-trained heiress and socialite – like The Arrow with more orthodox training. She’s also an out lesbian, which fans of the comics will be curious to see how The CW handles.
Batwoman, not to be confused with Batgirl, will be played by Australian actress Ruby Rose, previously seen in John Wick 2 and Orange is the New Black.
The crossover event will be episode nine for all three series, and will air on SKY 5 in December.
