On the first Monday in May, the annual Met Gala is held at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. This year’s Gala dress code is “Gilded Glamour” taking inspiration from the Costume Institute’s exhibition, In America: An Anthology of Fashion.
This year’s theme was chosen in honour of American contributions to fashion. All guests are asked to dress to “embody the grandeur—and perhaps the dichotomy—of Gilded Age New York.”
The official co-chairs for 2022 are Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Lively wore a showstopping Statue of Liberty inspired gown designed by Versace that transformed from copper to green.
