Dr. Martens X Heaven by Marc Jacobs Reunite for a Nostalgic Collection

Since its launch in the summer of 2020, Heaven by Marc Jacobs has embodied nostalgia for the youthful rebellion of the 90s — a technicolour manifestation of a binary-defying, forward-facing generation. Dr. Martens latest collaboration with Heaven creative director Ava Nirui explores new ways to play with two Dr Martens silhouettes that capture the playful, distorted femme edge that defined the 90s — and still captivates today.

Dr Martens has long been a wardrobe mainstay for anyone who challenges conventional feminine dress codes. The Mary Jane silhouette has been reinvented and reinterpreted again and again since the early 1900s. An effortless slip-on style — often the first shoe worn by children worldwide. Dr. Martens own version of the classic T-bar silhouette has roots in the 80s — a rugged rework with durable welted construction and tonnes of attitude.

Dr. Martens Addina DS Bex HMJ is built using the classic black Smooth leather and stacked on a 4cm Bex outsole, and detailed with a double yellow welt stitch for an exaggerated dose of rebellious Dr. Martens spirit.

The T-bar strap is finished with a brushed silver buckle featuring Heaven’s instantly recognisable double-headed bear logo. Easier than ever to slip on, the shoe is detailed with a black and yellow scripted AirWair heel loop.

The grunge-inspired collection also includes an adjustable 2-strap version of Dr. Martens Ricki sandal — built on the lightweight 5cm Quad Neoteric platform sole. The sandal upper is constructed using supple black Brando leather, and the straps also feature a brushed silver clasp with Heaven’s double-headed bear. The Ricki 2-strap HMJ is finished with Dr. Martens’ signature yellow welt stitch and a dual-branded moulded rubber label on the ankle.

The collection drops on the 6th of June and will be available Dr. Martens
