Drag Queens and Sci-Fi – Top Picks This Restaurant Month

Restaurant Month is back in Auckland’s city centre this August!

Every day of August, well-loved dining establishments and well-kept local secrets will be serving up menus at three price points – $25, $40 and $55+ per person – so diners will be able to discover the myriad of city centre eateries through menus created especially for Restaurant Month.

There are some fantastic events celebrating the past, present and future of dining offering an exciting way for people to experience the depth of talent and breadth of cuisine in the heart of the city.

August 12 will satisfy your cravings for all things sci-fi and fantasy with MASU Unleashed at Wētā Workshop.

Guests can immerse themselves in the world of Wētā Workshop, exploring horror sci-fi, and fantasy in the making while enjoying appetisers designed by chef and restaurateur Nic Watt of MASU, before a four-course dinner. Tickets are $240pp.

We can’t wait for August 25, with Drag Race Down Under alumni Anita Wigl’it hosting a special trolley service with friends at Culprit, inspired by some of their favourite guilty pleasures. Kyle Street is on the menu, dishing up some of his fine dishes in the two hour, seven course event.

Enjoy fizz on arrival and light entertainment from three of Auckland’s favourite drag queens. Tickets are $160pp, available via Culprit.
