Calling all Rosé lovers! This summer, Invivo & Co have teamed up with Morningside Tavern to create a month-long Drink Pink festival!
Whether you’re partial to a glass of chilled Rosé or pink G&T, there is no denying that pink drinks have firmly cemented themselves in the heart of Auckland’s food and drink scene thanks to rising sales of Rosé wine and pink-based gins in New Zealand.
Combining the trends to create a unique, month-long, celebration of pink drinks this summer, the outside garden oasis at the Tavern has been transformed. Enter a pink jungle – complete with pink disco balls, nestled in greenery hanging from the ceiling – that’s guaranteed to pink-ify your Instagram feed. Aucklanders can visit the Drink Pink pop-up bar that features one of the very first Rosé Proseccos from Italy on the menu, book-in to the Drink Pink tasting experience with their mates and enter the Drink Pink Instagram competition for the chance to win a host of prizes, announced weekly.
Just a stone’s throw from Morningside train station and Eden Park, the Drink Pink pop-up at Morningside Tavern is open for business from now until Monday 29 March on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 4pm.
The Drink Pink pop-up bar, brought to you by Invivo & Co…
The pink pop-up bar features a limited-edition menu with a bevvy of ten drinks that come in all shades of pink including rosé wines, pink G&Ts and pink gin-based cocktails. From dry, pale styles of rose from the South of France like Invivo X, SJP Rosé through to fruitier styles from New Zealand, like Graham Norton’s Own Rosé, guests will be able to experiment and find a Rosé wine style that suits their personal taste.
Featuring on this menu is the hot-in-demand ‘Graham Norton’s Own Italian Sparkling Rosé’. This delicious fizz is literally fresh off the boat from Italy and has just gone on sale in 2021. The brand-new bubbly is made with the Glera grape (otherwise known as the ‘Prosecco’ grape) and is grown and produced in the same way as Prosecco but has been blended with Pinot Noir to make a lighter-style of sparkling rosé wine. In 2020, for the first time in history, the Italian government granted Prosecco producers the rights to use Pinot Noir in winemaking and it’s one of the very first Rosé Prosecco wines to arrive in New Zealand!
Also on the menu are blush coloured gin and tonics (made with Graham Norton’s Own Pink Gin) served in a giant copa/balloon style glass and garnishes. Guests will also enjoy sipping on a selection of summer cocktails including the ‘Pinksecco’ and ‘The Pinktini’.
50 SHADES OF ROSE: Drink Pink tasting experience
