This year’s Auckland Lantern Festival requires a ticket to enter which we think is a great solution to crowd control and contact tracing during these times.
The event will be running for four days straight from the 25th of February to the 28th of February at Captain Cook Wharf. Simply hop onto their website, select a time and date and you are all set to go! You will have 45 minutes to enter the festival starting from the entry time stated on your ticket.
Auckland Unlimited, who delivers the Auckland Lantern Festival on behalf of Auckland Council, also advised people to limit their time to around three hours so other people can also enjoy their time at this iconic Auckland event.
This year we will be expecting some new features, such as, never seen before lanterns, extended opening hours and old favourites like the Lion dance, stage performances and spectacular fireworks display on the 28th.
Be sure to book your tickets and arrive early at the event to make the most out of the night!
