Home Brew Confirm Highly Anticipated Auckland Show

Home Brew have announced they will perform their legendary EP Last Week live in full on Sunday 31 May 2026, alongside tracks spanning their extensive catalogue. The show forms part of the returning Auckland Winter Series, a curated concert programme presented by Live Nation in association with Tātaki Auckland Unlimited on behalf of Auckland Council Events.

For many fans, the performance marks more than just another live show. It is a celebration of a group that helped shape the sound and identity of modern New Zealand hip-hop. Rising to prominence through a string of independently released EPs in the early 2010s, Home Brew quickly became known for their raw lyricism, chaotic energy, and unmistakably local storytelling. Their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album went on to debut at number one, cementing the group’s place in New Zealand music history.

What has always set Home Brew apart is its fiercely independent spirit. Long before DIY artistry became a marketing buzzword, the group built a loyal following through authenticity, underground momentum, and uncompromising creative control. That ethos has continued to resonate with audiences over the years, helping them maintain cult status while continuing to attract new listeners.

The release of Run It Back in 2023 introduced the group to a new generation of fans, proving their influence and relevance have not faded. Now, bringing Last Week to the stage in full offers longtime supporters a rare opportunity to revisit one of the defining releases in Aotearoa hip-hop.

The Auckland Winter Series returns for its second year with a line-up that blends international talent and beloved local artists across a series of performances throughout May. Home Brew join Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 on the growing programme, with more acts still to be announced.
