JEFF GOLDBLUM’S GREATEST HITS

Like a good wine or cheese, Jeff Goldblum seems to have got better with age. In celebration of Jeff Lynn Goldblum, we’ve selected some of his greatest hits.

MACARTHUR PARKER, THE SIMPSONS

A cheeky guest spot on one of the most subversive shows on TV, Macarthur Parker served as the perfect foil to hapless actor Troy McClure. As McClure’s agent, Parker had to deal with his client’s sham marriage to Patty Bouvier, an unhealthy obsession with fish and, most notably, his inability to distinguish between the film The Planet of the Apes, and an actual planet of apes.

DR IAN MALCOLM, JURASSIC PARK

While his iconic shirtless scene was recently honoured with a statue in London, and the iconic “life, uh, finds a way” was relentlessly shoehorned in the latest Jurassic trailer, one scene from his turn as Dr Ian Malcolm in 1993’s Jurassic Park will last forever. Or, ten minutes, if you choose.

THE GRANDMASTER, THOR

A highly underrated turn, supported by Kiwi icon Rachel House, and the subject of Taika Waiti’s Korg’s revolution, Thor: Ragnarok wouldn’t have been the same without the megalomaniacal Grandmaster.

JAZZ MUSICIAN

Did you know that Jeff Goldblum is also an accomplished jazz pianist who plays a show in LA every few weeks? Neither did we.
