From celebrated writer/director/producer Todd Phillips comes Joker: Folie À Deux, the highly anticipated sequel to the Academy Award-winning Joker from 2019. The latter grossed over $1 billion globally and remains the highest-earning R-rated film of all time.
The new movie again features Joaquin Phoenix in his Oscar-winning dual role as Arthur Fleck/Joker alongside Oscar-winner Lady Gaga.
Joker: Folie À Deux sees Arthur Fleck confined at Arkham, waiting for his trial as Joker. While grappling with his split personality, Arthur discovers true love and finds the music within him.
The film also stars Oscar nominees Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), Catherine Keener (Get Out, Capote), and Zazie Beetz, reprising her role from Joker.
Based on characters from DC, Phillips produced the movie with Oscar nominees Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Joseph Garner. Lady Gaga served as a music consultant.
Warner Bros. Pictures will release Joker: Folie À Deux globally and exclusively in theatres on the 3rd of October, 2024. #JokerMovie #FilmedForIMAX
