The leading Buy Now, Pay Later provider has reviewed the year’s shopping habits and rounded up the quirkiest items purchased across New Zealand, revealing a snapshot of the unexpected things filling Kiwi carts.

Crocs – 18th February
Watch out—these Crocs have some bite! A whopping 7,140 pairs were purchased through Afterpay on 18th Feb, as Kiwis jumped on the Crocs bandwagon in a big way.
Press-On Nails & Manicures – 14th February
Wanting to impress that special someone? Lovebirds across the country prepared to look their best with 306 press-on nail kits purchased via Afterpay on Valentine’s Day. Coincidentally, 315 manicures were also booked on 14th Feb, proving Kiwis were serious about nailing their date night look.
Bluey Tickets – 18th October
Bluey’s Big Play presale sent parents into a frenzy, with 1,100 tickets purchased via Afterpay on 18th October. Clearly, Kiwi families couldn’t resist a chance to see everyone’s favourite Aussie pup live on stage.
Sex Toys – 18th August
More than 129 vibrators, dildos, and sex toys were purchased via Afterpay on 18th August alone – which coincidentally was the first day of the Afterpay Day sales.
