Loyalties

Revered French novelist Delphine de Vigan presents a tale of interwoven stories where loneliness, lies and loyalties take centre stage. Theo and Mathis abandon school to drink in secret, and their teaching Helene is committed to pulling the boys back from this dangerous path. Meanwhile, Mathis’s mother Cecile uncovers horrifying truths about her husband which make her question their whole life together. Facades are peeled away, and what is left of these characters at the conclusion of the story, is almost unrecognisable.
