No more debates over who’s doing the floors – Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni
At one point, I found the T90 happily vacuuming my deck.
It had made its way through the French doors like it owned the place and decided the outdoor area needed doing as well. Credit where it’s due, it didn’t hesitate. Just carried on like it was part of the plan.
That was an easy fix. I set up a no-go zone in the app, and it hasn’t made a break for freedom since. But it does tell you something useful. This thing can handle ledges and lips between rooms without any issues. If you’ve got uneven flooring or small steps between spaces, it just rolls over them and keeps going.
Once you’ve got it set up properly, that’s when it starts to feel like a win. Not just because the floors are clean, but because one of those jobs no one really wants to do, vacuuming or mopping, quietly disappears from the weekly routine. And yes, that does mean your partner is officially off the hook as well.
The mopping is the real standout. Instead of the usual pads, it uses a roller that stays in contact with the floor and cleans itself while it works. It sounds like a small upgrade, but it changes the result completely.
I’ve got uneven terracotta tiles, which are usually a pain to clean properly. This handled them far better than expected. The roller stayed in contact across the surface and gave a much more even clean. It actually looked like the floor had been properly mopped, not just given a quick once-over.
The roller itself is wider than most, around 27cm, and it’s constantly being rinsed while it’s working. So instead of moving dirty water around, it’s lifting it away as it goes.
For everyday use, it’s been great. You just let it run, and the floors stay looking clean without having to think about it.
Vacuuming is just as easy. It picks up dust, crumbs, pet hair, all the usual mess, and moves between tiles and carpet without any drama. It just gets on with the job.
It also gets closer to the edges than expected. It runs right along the skirting boards, picking up the dust that usually builds up there, and is great at manoeuvring in smaller rooms.
The dock is what really seals the deal. It empties itself, washes the roller with hot water, and dries it. So you’re not dealing with dirty pads or remembering to empty bins. It just sorts itself out in the background.
Verdict
Honestly, it’s one of those things you don’t realise you needed until you’ve got it.
Set it up on a schedule, and it’s pretty much done. The Ecovacs T90 even notifies you on your phone app when it needs more water or when the dirty water tank needs emptying, so you aren’t constantly checking on it.
It does the job, it does it well, and it quietly removes one more chore from the list. Which, let’s be honest, is something most households can get behind.
