The New Zealand Veterinary Association, along with the Southern Cross Pet Insurance is on a mission to help furry friends stay away from food that is not meant for them.
Paws off is one such organisation that can help people learn about what is best for their pet animals – what foods to stay away from (like the sliver of chicken and leek pie, some of us have fed our pets) and what is actually nourishing.
During the King’s birthday this year, Paws Off collaborated with My Food Bag to create biscuits that are perfect for both humans and animals to eat.
Another step that they have taken is introducing the world’s first ever warning food safety symbol for pets. This has been designed to help pets live their best lives.
The organisation also encourages companies to download tools from their website pawsoff.co.nz which provides them with necessary resources needed to change their packaging and include the Paws Off! symbol once they are implemented.
