Serendipity Cafe on Pakowhai Road in Hastings will be offering a Text and Collect order system for Alert Level 3.
You can order selected hot drinks and food items, including Serendipity’s famous Custard Squares.

Food items include delicious, fresh baked scones, luscious lemon slice, homemade beef lasagne, and a broccoli, bacon and almond salad. You can view Serendipity’s full Level 3 menu on their Facebook page.
HOW TO ORDER:
Orders are to be placed by text to 021 0360447 from Monday to Friday, to be collected on Saturday and/or Sunday between 9.45am and 2.00pm at the Cafe, 1412 Pakowhai Road, Hastings.
Payment is to be made, and must show prior to pick up by internet banking ONLY. No cash or eftpos transactions available at pick up, as this will be a fully contactless operation.
Once order is placed, you will receive a confirmation text, also advising of bank account number to deposit into. Please use your surname as reference.
Please indicate on your order an approximate time you will be collecting and whether you will be collecting your order on Saturday or Sunday.
When you arrive to collect your order, you will text to say you are here, your hot drinks will then be made and your full order will be left on a table by the main entrance to the cafe for you to collect. You will receive a text or be notified when your order is there to pick up.
This system enables a fully contactless operation and social distancing measures can easily be maintained while you wait.
Depending on response and requests, additional items may be added to the Menu or additional days may be added.
