Taste of Auckland Turns Ten

Taste of Auckland is celebrating its tenth birthday this November, and to celebrate they’re moving to Auckland’s waterfront.

From the 1st-4th November, New Zealand’s biggest festival of food and drink will take over Queen’s Wharf, including The Cloud and Shed 10.

For four days the city’s harbour will be covered in kitchens, bars, an artisanal marketplace, chef demonstrations, and live music. In honour of the location, this year’s events will focus on sustainable seafood.

Alongside foods with an homage to the ocean, Taste of Auckland will have more than 120 food and drink producers offering everything from speciality cheeses to boutique gins, speciality wines, delightful pates, and vegan fare – and don’t forget the craft beer trail!

Big names at the festival include Ben Bayly and Juan Balsani (Baduzzi), Kyle Street and Jordan Macdonald (Culprit, Lowbrow), Nick Honeyman (Paris Butter), Cameron Knox (Xoong) and Sergio Maglione (Farina), with more to be announced.

Some of New Zealand biggest musical artists will be performing, including Tami Neilson, Barnaby Weir & Friends, and Hollie Smith.

If you go, be sure to attend the ever-popular Electrolux Taste Theatre and Chefs’ Secrets kitchen, both of which promise out-of-the-ordinary culinary experiences.

Even better, Taste of Auckland has teamed up with YOU Travel to offer packages to out-of-town foodies. The packages include tickets, accommodation, and transport alongside multi-day passes offering serious foodies six sessions of Taste.

VIP tickets are also available, and there will be exclusive food and wine tastings for YOU Travel clients. YOU Travel is also giving attendees the chance to win a trip for two to South Australia.

Tickets are on sale now with General Admission starting from just $25 and VIP Tickets from $89.

Multi-day passes and Corporate Hospitality packages are also available. For more information head to the Taste website: www.tasteofauckland.co.nz
