TikTok’s Coffee Make Up Trend

This year has already observed many emerging trends, and one in particular is causing many Kiwis to head to the stores and revamp their make-up bags.

Beauty gurus and influencers are raving about this new craze, and TikTok users are rushing to the stores to restock their make-up bags and recreate their coffee make-up look.

Before you go and spend your entire paycheck, The Warehouse has revealed how you can achieve the same look for just a fraction of the price.

Coffee make-up uses a bold, warm, and glamorous style that we’ve seen on celebrities such as Zendaya, Kendall Jenner, and Bella Hadid. To nail this look, you must warm up your entire colour palette.

This includes warm tan-nude lips, bronzed cheeks, autumnal eyeshadows paired with brown mascaras, and glowy highlighters in hues of peach or gold, depending on your skin’s undertone.

Start at the base and work outwards. After priming your face, apply a foundation that is a shade or two darker than your usual tone. The CoverGirl Trublend is oil-free, perfect for oily/combination skin types. Alternatively, try the Maybelline Fit Me range, designed for a lightweight finish that is durable and lasting.

Once you’ve set your base with a setting powder, use the McoBeauty Bronzing Drops to pull the look together and create a warming, radiating glow.

The eyes and brows are the face’s focal point, so you’ll want to swap out your usual palette and try blending browns, oranges, and warm neutrals, like the shades found in the Catrice The Hot Mocca Palette.

Line your waterline with a brown eye definer, like the one from Rimmel. Finish the look off with some Maybelline Brow Gel in dark brown and a few layers of Rimmel’s On Demand Mascara in shade “brown.”

To complete the look, add a hint of colour to your lips. Create an ombre look by lining your outer lip shape with a slightly darker shade than the centre.

You can pair the Cover Girl Nude Lip Flip Liner with the Super Stay Ink Crayon by Maybelline, achieving a professional finish that lasts all day.

The “coffee make-up” or “latte make-up” trend features warmer tones and deep-tan shades that are perfect for the latter days of summer when autumnal fashion and pumpkin-flavoured lattes are on everyone’s minds.
