Wardrobe Of A Phenomenal Woman - CAMILLA AND MARC

CAMILLA AND MARC unveiled their Spring Summer 25 collection, a tribute to the quiet strength, beauty, and presence of women.

Grounded in ease and confidence, the collection celebrates all those who move through the world with a sense of grace and an unwavering sense of self.

Inspired by Maya Angelou’s poem “Phenomenal Woman”, the collection explores the space where strength and softness meet.

Drawing from the feeling of rising, of moving upward with purpose and power, it takes cues from the fine intricacy of bird plumage and the sleek architecture of engineered wings; visual references that inform sculptural silhouettes and layered textures throughout the collection.

Texture and tactility give a foundational focus. Knots, folds, and delicate feather motifs suggest movement and tension, referencing the art of Kate McGuire and the quiet strength found in the natural world.

Tailoring is reimagined with softened edges; modular elements, deconstructed shapes, and elevated proportions echo the collection’s sentiment of rising with intention.

Key pieces throughout articulate this philosophy: the Phoenix Coat, adorned with feathered appliqué, grounds the collection in sensuality and craft; the Zora Maxi Skirt, finished with beading and fringe, captures a sense of flight in motion; while the Contour Short introduces a bold, textural note in pony hair leather.

Accessories speak to the quiet confidence at the heart of the collection. Each piece is designed to complement rather than complete. Knotted leather heels add subtle texture, and mixed metal jewellery is intended to be worn with ease, every day.

The debut of the brand’s first sneaker, crafted from a tonal suede, brings a soft, understated finish that effortlessly complements the collection. The colour palette draws on a sense of duality, the collection’s central tension. Dusty pastels in pink and sky blue are paired with earthy tones of cream, stone, and browns. A vibrant scarlet red punctuates the palette, bringing a simple, confident contrast to the softened hues.

Fabrications deepen the story. Italian tweed brings richness and texture to the Corvina Coat, while the Noma Blazer features a marled khaki wool that feels both classic and lived in. Delicate silks and tactile knits offer balance, adding ease and fluidity to the collection’s grounded foundation.

“This collection is about rising into yourself, feeling strong, feeling sure,” said Creative Director Camilla Freeman-Topper.

“We were drawn to the idea of movement and change, but in a way that feels grounded and calm. It’s about dressing with intention, letting each piece work with you, not for show.”

The collection will be available online, in boutiques, and at select retailers from August 2025.
