WHAT TO EXPECT FROM KKW BEAUTY

Kim Kardashian’s heavily-hyped eponymous beauty line is finally releasing tomorrow, on Wednesday the 21st of June. Following in little sister Kylie’s footsteps, the OG contour queen is creating a line of her own but clarifies that the two brands will be distinct from one another despite both being under Seed Beauty.

Kim has made it clear that she is focusing on what she knows best and is best known for – contouring. Her first product release is set to offer a Crème Contour and Highlight Kit that comes with one highlight and one contour stick that are meant to be used to draw lines directly onto the face like crayons, and a blending tool complete with a brush and a sponge.

Kylie herself has constantly been under fire for “copying” her infamous lip kit formula from sister brand Colourpop and marking it up almost 7x the price of Colourpop’s Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks (Colourpop is also under Seed Beauty and therefore share the same factory and some ingredients), so let’s see how Kim’s new contour sticks compare to Colourpop’s Sculpting Stix. But with a strong and aesthetically-pleasing social media presence as usual, the promotion material is very convincing and the kits look promising.
