We all know pizza comes in a box… But now, your local Domino’s store could come in a box too! Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd (Domino’s) is excited to announce the opening of its first container store globally in Tawa, New Zealand. The Company believes this will be the first of many container stores, as it works to open more kitchens closer to customers right around the world.
“In 2016, Domino’s announced Project 3TEN – a goal to have a freshly made pizza ready for carry- out within three minutes or safely delivered to a customer’s door within 10. Why? Because time is the enemy of food,” Domino’s NZ General Manager Cameron Toomey said.
“A key component to achieving this 10-minute delivery target is to reduce the distance from the store to your door. This means opening more stores, closer to our customers, for improved customer satisfaction.”
Unlike a standard store, the container store has its customer area outside. Customers place an order at one window and pick-up at the next, so in essence it acts like a drive thru (but with people, rather than vehicles).
As Domino’s continues to drive its expansion plans, customers can expect to see more container stores popping up, ensuring that customers can enjoy their favourite slice no matter where they are in the world.
The Domino’s Tawa store is located at 24 Main Road and is open from 11am-11pm seven days a week.
