Supermodel, designer and cultural touchstone Kate Moss has presented her debut collection for Zara.
Kate Moss, long-term collaborator, and stylist Katy England have designed this party capsule collection of beautifully designed pieces that take the wearer from day to night with sartorial ease.
The collection was inspired by favourites from Kate Moss’ covetable, lovingly curated archives. For the first time in over a decade, it has brought customers the inimitable Kate Moss eye and her peerlessly elegant, louche taste.
In a versatile, wearable, cross-generational collection, Moss has taken her knowledge, banked from her life at the highest tier of fashion with one eye perennially locked on the street and translated it into a contemporary collection of classic party pieces.
Laser-cut dresses in cream and black, cut on the bias with personal detailing; a smattering of prints, including Moss’ favourites leopard and 1930s vintage tea dress; jackets pulled from the back of a wardrobe and remodelled for maximum modern relevance; coats, shoes and accessories telling stories of the night.
Faithful to her theme and abiding passions, the collection has combined disco and rock’n’roll.
She cited the seventies of Charlotte Rampling and Lauren Hutton, Studio 54 and Led Zeppelin as inspirations. Moss has twinned these references with her definitive years as a walking byword for British fashion excellence to create the wardrobe she wants to wear most this season.
The campaign was shot by two of Moss’ favourite photographers, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, with whom she has worked for 25 years.
The Kate Moss x Zara party capsule wardrobe is a one-stop shop this festive season.
