An Iconic Duo for a New Collaboration

Much like the Levi’s 501, New Balance’s 990v3 sneaker is one of its most celebrated, having  developed a beloved following among sneaker enthusiasts. An original, the 990 series disrupted  the sneaker world with its smooth lines and refined color palette, not unlike how Levi’s changed  fashion forever with the creation of the Original 501 in the 1870s.

What was originally released as the 990 back in 1982, the model has seen many reinventions  and recreations, with New Balance always rising to the challenge of creating updated versions  with unbeatable appeal for its diverse fan base. The 990v3, released for the shoe’s 30th  anniversary in 2012, remains one of the most popular versions from the 990 series to this day.

The limited-edition LEVI’S x NEW BALANCE 990v3 Sneaker will be available in two colorways,  Indigo and Grey, a nod to each brand’s signature tones. Each version features the 990v3  silhouette that sneakerheads have come to love, accented with Levi’s proprietary Shrink-To Fit denim and Hairy Suede inspired by the fuzzy back of the iconic Levi’s leather back patch.  They also feature a co-branded N logo, taken to the next level with a custom designed Levi’s tab.

The LEVI’S x NEW BALANCE 990v3 Sneaker was proudly made in the USA and it was The  Shrink-to-Fit technology used to create the sneaker revolutionized denim production when it  was launched, giving consumers the power to create a customized fit.

With the hype surrounding the release of Levi’s take on the 990v3, this sneaker is guaranteed  to be a collectible for loyalists of both brands. It’s the latest offering from an iconic collaboration  between two quintessential American brands who have left a major stamp on the world for over 100 years.
