Kiwi frozen food company Leader, has won the Frozen Food Award at the 2017 New Zealand Food Awards with their Jalapeno Cheese Bites. The perfect addition to an entertaining platter, as an appetiser, or as a tasty afternoon snack. The delicious Jalapeno Cheese Bites have a soft cheese centre with chunks of warm jalapeno chilli corn, wrapped in a crispy crumb coating. Other flavours in the Bites range include; Broccoli and Cheese, Spicy Mexican and Mac and Cheese.
The NZ Food Awards celebrate creative innovations from New Zealand’s artisanal and large-scale food and beverage manufacturers. The judging panel included food writer and cookbook author Nici Wickes, award-winning chef Geoff Scott and renowned chef and food writer Ray McVinnie, who sampled and sipped their way through New Zealand’s finest NZ made food and beverages.
