Contemporary Bites & Classic Nights at The Brit

Temperatures may have dropped outside, but things are heating up inside at The Brit!

Throughout June and July, Britomart’s The Brit will continue to deliver some of the most beloved items from its kitchen, as well as new additions offering a twist on timeless flavour favourites – all to the soundtrack of one of Auckland’s best live cover bands Off the Wall

The Brit is the ultimate warm, welcoming retreat from the central city’s cold streets, humming with lively banter, music and delicious smells from the busy kitchen. It is the perfect venue to congregate with friends or colleagues over a tasty meal, rugby on the big screen or a game of pool.

Executive Chef Gareth Stewart has added some newness to the menu, but wisely kept fan favourites. Take your tastebuds on a trip through the Americas with quintessential US dishes, updated with a fresh take on their usual flavours; crab cakes with pea guacamole, jalapeno, lime and coriander; the Chop Chop Cobb salad, or the skillet mac’n’cheese with chilli shrimp, crab, fontina cheese and mature cheddar. For a taste closer to home, try the buttered crayfish and prawn roll with iceberg, creole spice mayo and garlic butter or the classic prawn cocktail with iceberg, cherry tomatoes and Marie Rose.

Returning dishes that will warm both the belly and the heart this winter include the cheesy cauliflower bites with hot buffalo sauce; the prized free range chicken schnitzel with slaw, fried potatoes, chicken gravy and a fried egg; and the renowned beer battered market fish with shoestring fries, crushed peas and tartare sauce.

Washed down with a favourite tipple from The Brit’s extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu, you’ll be galvanised for a night on the dancefloor as live cover band Off the Wall takes the stage after the final siren on Saturday night rugby!

Belting out classics you’ll know all the words to, it’s the perfect way to celebrate live music’s return to the city – and enjoy an unrivalled pub experience!

Off the Wall will play June 18, and every Saturday in July.
