ROCKBURN’S CELLAR DOOR

Rockburn's Cellar Doors

Following a successful summer season at the Gibbston Tavern, Rockburn Wines has turned its Pop-Up Cellar Door into a permanent destination; creating a unique tasting experience for wine lovers in the heart of the renowned Gibbston sub-region.

Rockburn’s permanent Cellar Door offers boutique tastings of their award-winning wines in a unique, charming setting. Guests are invited to enjoy a wide selection of drinks along with wood-fired pizzas straight from the hand-crafted oven, situated on the historic site where the gold miners’ Gibbston Hotel proudly stood in 1867.

“With one of our key vineyards only a few kilometres away on Gibbston Back Road, it’s great to welcome visitors in the heart of the renowned Gibbston sub-region,” said Rebecca Poynter, General Manager of Rockburn Wines.

The Gibbston Tavern and Rockburn Cellar Door are adjacent to the Gibbston River Trail which links directly to the Queenstown Trails, making it a convenient stop-over for travellers, bikers and walkers alike. Queenstown is only a 25-minute drive away just off SH6.

The Cellar Door caters for up to 12 guests at any one time for private and boutique group tastings available on request.
