Do-Nut Miss Out On Butter Baby’s Christmas Treats

With the festive season just around the corner, small artisan home bakery Butter Baby will have you feeling jolly in no time with their new selection of Christmas-themed donuts. These gourmet treats make the perfect pick-me-up treat or a gift for a special someone.

Beginning as a lockdown project, Butter Baby was officially launched in 2021. The founder Matilda Lee said that the bakery prides itself on putting a creative twist on classic comfort treats and connecting good food with great people. Its famous Pandan & Sago Donut was voted in the Top 100 Iconic Auckland Eats, and its Cinny buns topped Urban List’s 2022 “Best Cinnamon Buns” list.

Butter Baby’s festive selection features four mouthwatering donuts to choose from.

Its “Santa’s Milk & Cookies” is filled with fresh vanilla whipped cream and topped with a smooth white chocolate glaze and the bakery’s beloved special chocolate chip cookie crumb.

Those who love carrot cake will adore the “Rudolph’s Carrot Cake” donut, which is filled with carrot cake custard, iced with vanilla cream cheese frosting and topped with an adorable baby carrot.

Its “Chocolate Log Cake” donut is paradise for the chocolate obsessed. Oozing with chocolate custard filling and cream and chocolate sponge, it is finished with a smooth chocolate glaze and dusted with chocolate flakes.

Lucky last is the “Gingerbread” flavour, essentially a gingerbread house crammed into a donut. Filled with a spiced ginger custard and coated in a white chocolate glaze, it is dunked into a bed of ginger crumbs, which add the perfect crunch to this festive treat.

All of Butter Baby’s products are packaged in eco-friendly, sustainable packaging. Its boxes are recyclable and lined with compostable Foodsafe paper. Every purchased gift box comes with a compostable handwritten card that can be personalised with a special message.

To get your hands on these Christmas donuts, head to the Saturday Market at Britomart from 8 am to 1 pm.

Butter Baby’s regular menu items can be pre-ordered through their website or Instagram.
