What started in Kate Gatfield-Jeffries’ parents’ kitchen has transformed into a thriving New Zealand brand with a mission to improve women’s mental well-being.
Armed with savings from her part-time jobs while at university and a passion for helping others, Kate founded Moodi just over two years ago.
Since then, the brand has made waves locally and in Australia, with plans to go global.
Moodi has expanded from two to ten supplements and sold out over 20 times. Earlier this year, their pop-up store in Britomart highlighted the growing buzz around Moodi and the strong community formed around the brand.
At the heart of Moodi is Kate’s drive to support women. For her work empowering women from diverse backgrounds, she was recognised as Young Leader of the Year in the New Zealand Women of Influence Awards.
Through this work, Kate noticed how many women are battling chronic stress, anxiety, and burnout and decided to do something about it.
She believes everything starts with mental well-being; without it, you cannot pursue your dreams, reach your potential or get through the morning without a cup of coffee.
Moodi’s range includes delicious, clinically backed blends, like a pink lemonade pre+probiotic blend to support gut health and a caffeine-free coffee alternative to support energy levels.
Last year, Moodi made waves by launching the world’s first Pavlova-flavoured protein powder, which was so popular it sold out in just weeks.
Moodi’s products are plant-based, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free, with each blend created in New Zealand.
