KFC Introduce the Loyalty Test

New Zealand is a rugby-mad nation, and Kiwis will tell you they’re some of the most loyal supporters in the world.

But who can walk the talk? This season, The Colonel is putting it to the test. Introducing, The Loyalty Test – a real-life lie-detector experience designed to put diehards around the country to the ultimate test. They’ll be wired up and put through their paces with questions only a true supporter could tackle, all while their heart rate and sweat levels are monitored in real time.
The experience will be overseen by private investigator Will Russell, who brings nearly two decades of experience from London, policing and conducting hundreds of interviews. Adept at getting to the truth, now he will put passionate fans through their paces.

Expect questions like: “Would you tattoo your team’s logo on a visible part of your body permanently, if it guaranteed them the championship title this year?” Or “Can you actually name your team’s starting lineup?”

Those who pass the test will be rewarded with an item from KFC’s delicious Fan Feed Menu, featuring legendary Hot Rods: boneless secret recipe chicken served on a skewer, Sliders Box Meals: a stacked box with any 2x Sliders, fan-favourite mini Popcorn Chicken, a piece of iconic Secret Recipe Chicken, Potato and Gravy and Fries, or Rivals Buckets: half and half buckets with two options to choose from – Wicked Wings and Secret Recipe Chicken OR craveable Hot & Crispy Boneless and Secret Recipe Chicken.
The Fan Feed Menu will be available in all stores nationwide, from Tuesday 26 May.

KFC Senior Brand Manager, Sarah Clarke, says while Kiwi Super Rugby loyalty runs deep, this is about putting that passion to the test.

“Every Kiwi rugby fan reckons they’re their team’s number one supporter, but we wanted to see who can actually back it up when the pressure’s on. The Loyalty Test turns that claim into something you have to prove. If you can keep your cool, while strapped in, we’ll reward you with a feed worth cheering for,” she adds.

The Loyalty Test will hit the road from late May, making appearances at Super Rugby matches, as well as grassroots community clubs and local KFC restaurants across the North Island. The first stop kicks off in Hamilton at FMG Stadium on Saturday, 30th May.
