Sofitel Auckland Launches L’Heure du Vin

L'Heure du Vin

Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour has introduced its new wine experience, L’Heure du Vin, incorporating wines from Church Road Winery in Hawke’s Bay.

Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour has announced the launch of L’Heure du Vin (The Wine Hour), a new quarterly wine dinner series celebrating the art of French-inspired hospitality through curated wine and gastronomy experiences.

The inaugural wine dinner, hosted in partnership with Vinarchy and in collaboration with Church Road Winery, will take place on Friday, 26 June 2026, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour. Guests will be invited into an intimate, candlelit evening of modern culinary artistry and wine discovery, set against the backdrop of one of Auckland’s most celebrated luxury hotels.

Sofitel Auckland’s Executive Chef Maninder Singh has created a five-course dinner to complement a distinguished selection of wines from Church Road Winery, one of Hawke’s Bay’s most storied producers, whose wines have long exemplified the elegant, terroir-driven style that defines New Zealand’s finest.

“Our first L’Heure du Vin brings together some of the best that Church Road Winery has to offer alongside a menu crafted to match. This dinner is the first of many evenings we are planning for anyone who appreciates the pleasure of great food and wine at the same table,” said Reto Border, General Manager at Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour.

L’Heure du Vin is a quarterly wine dinner series designed to celebrate Sofitel Auckland’s commitment to art de vivre, the art of living well. Each wine dinner will feature a different winery partner, presented in partnership with leading wine specialists Vinarchy, alongside a culinary journey crafted to complement the selected wines. Tickets are priced at $185 per person and are available via sofitel-auckland.com. The evening calls for refined cocktail attire.
