Relax This Christmas With Lula Self-Warming Eye Masks

Brisbane sisters Aisling and Margaret Cunningham have released their Lula Self-Warming Eye Masks in New Zealand to encourage more New Zealanders to relax this Christmas holidays.

Available in a range of relaxing scents like lavender and jasmine, the self-warming eye masks are designed to warm up as soon as they are worn, giving users 20 minutes of rest and ease from issues surrounding sleep, migraines and dry eyes.

When both Cunningham sisters were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020, they realised the importance of rest and self-care.

Margaret stated that “as busy single mums of young kids, even before our diagnosis, we knew we wanted to create a product that helps us prioritise more rest in our lives and help deal a little more easily with the chaos of everyday life.”

When they first tried on the eye masks, both sisters knew that it was nothing else they had seen in Australia and New Zealand.

“It was exactly what we needed – and we knew it might help others too.”

Throughout their treatments, they continually tested and perfected their eye masks. The Lula eye masks accompanied them during many hospital stays, providing a source of comfort.

The name “Lula” was chosen for the brand because of its “warrior” meaning, which the Cunninghams believe every woman is.

“But even warriors need rest too!”

Remarkably in just under 18 months, the Cunningham sisters have built a thriving business available to over 80 stockists, while dealing with some of the most challenging times of their lives.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by our Lula community and how our message for ‘more guilt-free rest’ resonated with many. The Lula community has helped us get through some of the toughest times, and we hope New Zealanders love them as much as we do.”

Lula eye masks are available in Rose, Jasmine, Lavender or Unscented. They can be purchased online or in-store at retailers like Smith + Caughey’s and Crave Home.
