Like most people visiting Japan, I spent an insane amount of time (and money) in a MEGA Don Quijote. Do I know the theme song by heart? Yes. Will I continue to go back every time I see one even though I know what is available? Yes.
I bought all the viral beauty products you have probably seen on TikTok, and here are my honest thoughts after thorough use.

Biore Body Mist
This is an absolute must in the summer! I didn’t believe it, but it actually made a huge difference. And as soon as I popped into air conditioning,, my skin was frozen. Loved the unscented to start off, but maybe could swing into one of the peach flavours next.
OUR RATING: 10/10

Derma Laser Face Masks
These are well worth it! I have bought almost every variation. I’ll be going back for the red one (retinol) when I’m next in Japan. They are super affordable and amazing gifts. Everyone loved them! Teatree was my favourite so far.
OUR RATING: 10/10

Heroine Make Speedy Mascara Remover
I think this one was my biggest letdown. I was so hopeful. I have used it maybe 8-10 times now, and every time it is awful. I have tried to make it work. I have committed to giving it a fair try – and I absolutely hate it.
OUR RATING: 3/10

Biore Makeup Remover For Eye & Lip
God save Biore because they are putting in the work. Some are hits; some are misses. I think I have a soft spot for Biore now. I haven’t tried their regular makeup remover, but I opted for this one because I am a big red lipstick girly. I usually use stains or intense liquid lipsticks that are very hard to remove. This works a charm. It’s cheap, it works, I’m a fan.

Senka Perfect Whip
Heard the term ‘squeaky clean’? Yeah, that is from this cleanser right here. It is so cheap and effective. I literally was making my face squeak, it was so fresh. My beauty routine is based on Dermalogica products, and this was a very close second to my favourite cleanser. And dramatically cheaper.
OUR RATING: 9/10

Biore UV Aqua Rich
Is this the best sunblock I have ever bought? No. Is it a close second? YES! This fits perfectly into my handbag, is very, very affordable, and is so easy to apply. No streaky white sunblock, it comes out as a clear mist. INCREDIBLE. GIVE ME 100 MORE OF THEM RIGHT NOW. This will be first in my cart when I go back to Japan.
OUR RATING: 10/10

Torriden Masks
These are another brand of face masks which are absolutely delicious. They are super cute gifts, are cheap and work! Balance (the green one) and Dive In (pictured above) are amazing. Highly recommend.
OUR RATING: 10/10

Soft Stone Double Deodorant
Look, this may be a bit more niche, but I do make a habit of collecting deodorants from different countries. This is a creamy green paste-like textured stick. It didn’t really help me, and it was a bit too creamy for my liking. I don’t think I’ll be buying this again.
OUR RATING: 6/10

Biore Cooling Towels
These were a life saver in the July heat! The humidity was insane, and slapping this over my shoulders delivered incredible relief. Love, love, love – will be buying again.
OUR RATING: 7/10

Biore Cooling Wipes
As much as I have quickly become a Biore girly, I really didn’t like these. I didn’t find relief, it just was like having a bag of baby wipes in my bag. Wasn’t anywhere as cold or good as the towels above.
