Stress-Free Christmas With My Food Bag

When it comes to preparing for Christmas Day, for kiwis, the lead-up isn’t stress-free. New research shows that many kiwis find that the preparations for the festive season are one of the most stressful times of the year. My Food Bag aims to reduce this stress, providing kiwis with food options so they can focus less on the food and more on their loved ones.

New Zealand is getting ready to have its first Christmas without Covid restrictions in two years. Still, with the rising cost of food, the stress concerning the affordability of Christmas food is hitting kiwis harder. As revealed in research conducted by Pureprofile, almost half of kiwis say that the cost of food is the main contributor to stress when preparing festive feasts.

Development Kitchen Chef at My Food Bag, Jessie Rolls, says that Christmas food, though hectic and expensive, is always something that most look forward to all year long.

“Despite being on the same day each year, Christmas always seems to creep up on us,” said Rolls. “When you’re unprepared but feeling the pressure to pull something incredible out of the bag for your family, it’s only natural to panic and purchase anything and everything without thinking through your plans for Christmas Day – costing time and money.”
