As daylight hours shorten and we find ourselves reaching for our extra thick sweaters more often than not, there is no denying that winter is firmly upon us. The South Island offers the ideal setting to embrace the cold weather with picturesque snow-capped mountains, ski resorts and now starting today, the Queenstown Winter Festival.
Kicking things off at 5pm, Queenstown Bay will host a very special cultural opening followed by live entertainment from Anika Moa and Rhythmonyx to get the festival spirit in full swing. Running until this Sunday, the event will offer an array of delicious hot food and drinks to keep visitors toasty, such as the Atomic Coffee Pop-Up Caravan. With other exciting highlights to include the Queenstown Village Rink and live music hosted by Stace and Flynny, the Queenstown Winter Festival is set to be the event of the season!
