Hogwarts Legacy is what’s hot right now for gamers and Harry Potter fans. The action-role-playing game is available on multiple consoles where players get to experience being a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
As good as it sounds, it is truly a great game to play (check out our game review here), but there is always room for improvement and some laughter along the way.
This is where mods come in. What is a mod, you ask? As explained by Techopedia, modification (Mod) is performed to allow a gamer to play a game different from its original released version. End users or developers generally perform it, and the modded version is considered an unofficial version of the game.
So if you want to make the gaming experience better or for some quirky entertainment, we’ve handpicked a few mods that we love right now from Nexusmods.

“Better” Gaming Experience
Floo Lady Silencer

“Off to another adventure, are we?” Plus, all the other dialogues from the Floo lady every time you use the fast travel function can now be silenced. Thank god for this mod by TangerieDev.
Custom Female Face 14 Model

As enjoyable as the game is, you got to admit, the character design is a little shocking – predominantly female characters! Luckily, some talented gaming developers solved the problem with face enhancement mods like the above.
Arachnophobia Mode

This mod is the best one yet if you also feel discomfort with the spiders in the game. The Arachnophobia Mode mod literally turns spiders into boxes. Goodbye, creepy crawlies!
Alohomora

If you want to experience the game’s full potential from the beginning, the Alohomora mod is what you need. This mod unlocks all spells, clothing items, wand handles, floo flames, conjuration items, gear traits, broom upgrades and the talent menu. This mod only works when you start a new save.

IKEA Shark Broom

Why settle for brooms when you can ride an IKEA shark toy? The viral shark stuffed toy, sold in IKEA, can now be ridden in Hogwarts Legacy with this mod. The mod replaces the appearance of the Yew Weaver Broom that can be purchased from Albie Weekes at Spintwitches Sporting Needs located in Hogsmeade.
Lightsaber Wands
Unleash your Jedi power with the Lightsaber Wand mod by XxCRAZYPOTATOxX. It currently replaces the Swirl-Dark Grey wand handle, with more wand handles to come.
Colorful Platform Crocs

This mod will replace the default shoe with one of 4 colourful platform clogs. Because why not?
Unfortunately, this mod will not work on male characters.
The Hog-Thomas Express

There’s a new train in town, taking students and Hogsmeade residents into London. This mod replaces the Hogwarts Express with Thomas the Tank Engine. We look forward to a theme song added to the train in the future!
How to install mods
- Head over to Nexus Mods and create an account. Choose the mod(s) you would like to download.
- Be sure to read the description part on the selected mod (most would have instructions on how to download and install it)
- Hit the manual download button that is below the heading.
- Unzip the file you’ve downloaded.
- Search your computer for the “Paks” folder. [This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > steamapps > common > Hogwarts Legacy > Phoenix > Content > Paks]
- Drag the unzipped mod folder into the “Paks” folder.
