The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA for short) is an annual occasion in commemoration and celebration of the very best films, directors and actors of the past year. It is the UK’s biggest celebration of global excellence in film.
New Zealand/Australia co-production ‘The Power of the Dog’ walked away as the winner of Best Picture of the year. Additionally, New Zealand director Jane Campion was named Best Director.
Not only did New Zealanders bring home some of the top awards, but there were also two celebrities spotted on the red carpet wearing New Zealand-born fashion designer, Emilia Wickstead.
Zawe Ashton and Naomi Osaka both sported Wicksteads incredible modern silhouettes in style.
