Blue September Releases a New Double-take-worthy Awareness Campaign

A small but mighty snack is set to make a meaningful impact as part of the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s annual awareness and fundraising campaign.

Blue Balls. Yep, you heard that one right, and now that we have your attention, Blue Balls are produced by Prostate Cancer Foundation New Zealand (PCFNZ) partners, Loaf, using Nut Brothers peanut butter, to create a tasty on-the-go snack that will help raise awareness and vital funds for Blue September.

An important feature of Blue Balls is to encourage customers to visit www.prostate.org.nz/blueballs to find out important, helpful and life-saving information on prostate and testicular cancers.

Blue Balls is a smart way to raise awareness and funds for a worthy cause, but it also brings to our attention the importance of early detection.

“Each year, over 3500 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer in New Zealand, and the funds raised during the Blue September campaign enables our Foundation to provide support to those men and their families living with prostate cancer,” said Graeme Woodside, CEO of PCFNZ.

Countdown Supermarkets will be getting behind this campaign by selling Blue Balls in their supermarkets throughout September. Forty cents of each ack of Blue Balls will go to support Prostate Cancer NZ and Testicular Cancer NZ.

“As a survivor of testicular cancer, I know firsthand how disregarded men’s health can be. This is a fantastic cause to support as awareness and education is the first step to early detection, which will save lives,” noted Jono Wood, director of Natures Foods Ltd, producers of Nut Brothers.
