Harry Styles Concert: Know Before you Go

Harry Styles’s long-awaited tour down under is finally upon us. Performing his Love on Tour, there will be approximately 40,000 people expected to descend on Auckland’s Mount Smart Stadium on Tuesday, 7th of March to see the pop superstar live in concert.

However, before you go to the concert, you’ll need to know a few things.

Make sure that your bag is not larger than an A4 sheet of paper.

For security reasons, you will not be allowed to bring in backpacks of any size, commercially prepared food, chilly bins, cans, or aluminium or glass containers.

A bag check is available at gates A, B, C, D and E.

If you want to bring a sign, then make sure it’s no bigger than A3, and only bring one if it is made of paper or cloth.

Public Transport is free with your concert ticket, but keep in mind the sheer volume of people attending the event, so have an alternative plan just in case.

Remember that Mount Smart Stadium is an open-air venue, and with Auckland’s weather being highly unpredictable, make sure you have all your bases covered. Bring a rain poncho in case it’s wet, but be sun smart if it’s clear blue skies.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase inside, but make sure you have an accepted form of ID in order to be served.

Only a limited number of retail outlets will accept cash, therefore eftpos/credit cards are an ideal payment method.

Mount Smart Stadium is a totally smoke-free venue, which includes all use of e-cigarettes and vaporisers as well.

Ticketmaster is the official ticket retailer for the concert, and any tickets purchased from other third-party vendors such as Trade Me, Viagogo, and private sales may not guarantee entry.

And finally, stay safe. It’s important to Mount Smart Stadium that the safety of its guests is ensured at all times. If you feel unsafe or find yourself in a sticky situation, text ‘assist’ followed by your location and message to 260.

Gates open at 5:00 pm, and the show will begin at 6:30 pm. For a full list of permitted and prohibited items, rules and regulations, visit the Auckland Stadiums website
