A Kingdom in Peril
In this latest instalment, strange rifts are appearing throughout Hyrule, causing its people to vanish mysteriously. It’s up to Princess Zelda to rescue her kingdom, but she won’t be alone. With the aid of an ethereal creature named Tri, Zelda gains the power of the Tri Rod, which allows her to create “echoes” – replicas of objects in the environment. These echoes can be used to solve puzzles, battle enemies, and even create monster allies to assist in combat.
Engaging Quests and Swift Travel
Zelda’s journey to save Hyrule is packed with engaging quests and diverse challenges. The Adventure Log helps players keep track of their progress, while Waypoints scattered across the land provide quick travel options. Zelda’s trusty steed also makes traversing the overworld faster and easier, able to hop over obstacles and charge through weaker foes.
Refreshing Smoothies and Stylish Gear
Along the way, players can visit Smoothie Shops run by Business Scrubs. Here, collected ingredients can be blended into health-replenishing drinks with various effects. Zelda can also find and equip new outfits and accessories, enhancing her abilities and allowing for stylish customisation.
Innovative Powers: Bind and Reverse Bond
Zelda’s companion Tri brings unique powers to the table. The Bind ability lets objects follow Zelda’s movements, useful for uncovering hidden treasures or moving enemies out of the way. Reverse Bond, on the other hand, allows Zelda to mirror the movements of creatures or objects, providing creative ways to solve puzzles and navigate the environment. These powers open up a plethora of possibilities, like making a boulder follow Zelda to reveal a secret passage or linking to a flying creature for temporary flight.
Special Edition Console
In celebration of this release, a stunning gold-coloured Nintendo Switch Lite Hyrule Edition console is also set to launch on 26th September. Adorned with the Hylian Crest and Triforce, this special edition console comes with a 12-month individual Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, giving players access to a treasure trove of classic The Legend of Zelda titles from the NES, Super NES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Advance.
