This book is a great weekend read or a good coffee table book. I would also recommend having a number of friends. Maybe… say about six to eight friends that are guaranteed to show up to anything you do. Or if you, like me, have under that quota then I’m sure you can still benefit from this book by making mini versions.
This is amazingly thoughtful book that takes you through the in’s and out’s of hosting. I’m sure after a couple times, I’ll be a party pro. Lauren takes you through what to wear, what to buy, what to serve, colour palettes, everything. Step by step she guides you through your concept, the invitations, the menu, the bar to the décor.
