Jacinda Ardern nude sketch removed by TradeMe

An artwork depicting Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern nude on horseback has been removed from TradeMe, after the auction site deemed it ‘inappropriate.’

The sketch, which was described as being “hand drawn by a local New Zealand artist”, was taken down from the site after administrators feared it could attract complaints. Prior to its removal the piece had a starting price of $280 but was yet to attract any bids.

The artwork was subsequently placed on retail site Etsy, where it was sold.
