Living in New Zealand, there isn’t a huge offering for modes of international travel, planes are often the only option.
Now, planes are cool and everything, but sometimes sitting in a packed cabin, on a metal bird that is absolutely rocketing through the air isn’t the most enjoyable experience.
Norwegian Cruise Line has heard our pleas and come through with an alternative travel option for us Kiwis!
Gone are the days of cruises only circling between Australia, New Zealand, and a select few islands. Last week Norwegian Cruise Line celebrated its return to Asia as the Norwegian Jewel set sail from Tokyo.
But what does that have to do with New Zealand? Auckland is one of the departure ports for both the Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Spirit.
The Norwegian Sun will offer a six-month Asia/Pacific season between October 2024 and April 2025, including a brand new Auckland to Bali sailing in early 2025! Ports in the itineraries include but are not limited to Honolulu, Papeete, Lembar, and Bali.
Norwegian Spirit will return to Australian and New Zealand waters for its second consecutive season from December 2023 through March 2024. The Norwegian spirit will travel between New Zealand, Australia, and Tahiti.
It’s still early days, but it might be worth keeping an eye on cruise destinations to see what is on offer next!
